Coronavirus (Covid-19) Announcement

NO MORE PUBLIC MASSES / SERVICES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Due to the on-going threat of the Coronavirus, it is with regret that I inform you that as of:

Thursday evening 19th March

there will be no more public celebrations of the Mass or any other liturgies in any of the Catholic Churches in England and Wales. This will be the case until further notice, when it is safe for people to gather together once again.

As your parish priest I will continue to celebrate Masses on a daily basis, but these will now be private until such time as things change.

Please click here to read the guidance for people to continue their lives of prayer and also find where live stream Masses are available.

I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Please remember me in your prayers also.

Thank you for your understanding at this sad and difficult time.

Fr Eamonn

Mass in Time of Pandemic

My dear parishioners,

Today I celebrated the Mass in Time of Pandemic (the first of many over this time). This Mass is obviously very much needed at the moment.  It is now ready and available on our website.

The text of this Mass including my sermon and Prayers of the Faithful are also available to you the faithful, in order to read it and pray and hopefully derive some comfort and hope at this difficult time. The Scripture readings are beautiful and very appropriate.

May I encourage you to take some time to celebrate this Mass with me and also read and meditate upon the Sacred Scriptures for this Mass and feel God’s presence at this time. You will find all the texts for this Mass here.
