Dear all,

In these times when we are all a little isolated, it is nice to keep in touch and encourage each other.

I invite you to please post your thoughts, and words of encouragement to each other. All contributions are welcome – whether it is a poem, something funny, a spiritual reading or just a nice thought.

Let’s keep in touch and help each other through these challenging times.

I miss seeing you but you are close to me in my thoughts and prayer.

God bless

Fr Eamonn

Hi Mary, thank you for your comment.
It’s great that you were all able to be at the same Mass – it’s really pleasing to us that people are getting so much out of the live stream – makes all our efforts worthwhile!

I am classed as vulnerable in this pandemic and although I managed to get back to Mass beginning August, my health is not great and am unable to attend again at the moment. The parish website and all the prayers, reflections and live Masses are literally God sent. I still feel very close to my parish family and Michelle and Patrick I want to thank you for the video Mass and Fr. Eamon, the support you continue to give is so welcomed always. Keep going everyone, keep safe and know how gratefully received your efforts are.

I am not a member of your parish but my sister is. When lockdown started my parish linked mass to the Cathedral so I looked through the parishes streaming mass and came upon yours. I would like to thank Fr Eamonn for the beautiful masses over the churches most important feasts and throughout lockdown – thank you very much. Thank you also for putting the text for the readings and gospels over the past few weeks they have been most welcome! Hopefully we can now go back to the new normal and worship in the churches themselves. May God bless you all.

Hello Father, I have just joined you in the mass during a pandemic, it was beautiful. It is so nice to still feel part of the parish during this strange time, I know that not all parishes have this contact. it is so nice that you say mass in both churches, thank you for all you are doing.

Dear Eileen, it is lovely to hear from you. I hope you are well. Thank you for your kind message about the Mass during a pandemic – your thoughts are appreciated. It is certainly a strange time for us all. I think it is important that I celebrate Mass in both St Patrick’s and st Mary’s so you are all able to keep a link with your parish church. It would be very easy to become strangers at this time – so seeing our churches and having contact in this way is important and also helpful for all our sakes. Take care and keep safe. God bless. Father- Thank you so much for all you are doing and your lovely messages. It is very much appreciated. I have shared a link to the parish website amongst friends and family on Facebook so hopefully word will get round. Also, perhaps parishioners might be able to help by being phone friends to people who are feeling lonely?

Hello Louise, thank you for your lovely message. That is a lovely idea of parishioners phoning each other at this time. We are all in this together, and every little helps. If you of any who would like a phone-call from me please just let me know. I have phoned a few people, but I don’t have that many numbers yet. That will be one of the first jobs once we are back up and running, to get an up to date contacts list for the parish.
I hope you are keeping well and as safe as possible. God bless.. Fr Eamonn

Thank you for the video Mass it was good to see you, I actually felt part of it. I think by the time this isolation is over I will have the cleanest house in the area! As a member of the UCM we are keeping in touch with both each other and church members. So stay safe, stay positive and let’s hope it eases soon.

Hi everyone,
I was out walking the dog this morning (my allocated exercise for the day) and couldn’t help but feel uplifted by the gorgeous morning – so I thought I would share it with you all. I then got to thinking that it would be good if we could share photos of our time in isolation – as an added way of keeping in touch. If you would like to share a photo please email it here, with a comment too if you want, and I will make a collection of the photos.

Here are Grace and Scarlett with their rainbow pictures.

Hope everyone is keeping well.
Best wishes and love from us all,

Michelle

I am what i call solitary confinement. Family visit but stay in the garden and we talk through the glass window. Yesterday morning i felt i attended Mass . I was able to answer as if in church and the only difference was that at communion time i had to make a spiritual communion. Thank you Fr Eamonn please continue to celebrate Mass for and with us if you can even though we are not physically in the same building. For me It was very different from watching a Mass being broadcast on TV. So again thank you Fr Eamonn it is much appreciated. God bless everyone

To all our mothers, may I wish you a very happy ‘Mother’s Day’. Although at the moment it is harder to see each other, you are still very much in our thoughts and our hearts. We think too of our mothers who are no longer with us – we remember you each and every day.

To all parishioners and friends, please take care, keep as safe as possible and let’s keep each other close in prayer.

God bless.
